We provide consultant-led gynaecology and maternity services in a modern and friendly environment, mostly at Ormskirk hospital.
The advanced surgical techniques used by our expert team mean you should get better quicker and spend less time recovering from your procedure.
Our gynaecology assessment bay allows women to refer themselves directly if they have a gynaecological problem that requires immediate attention. We also have an early pregnancy assessment unit for women with complications such as bleeding in early pregnancy.
Women who are referred to us urgently with possible gynaecological cancer are seen and assessed in our rapid access clinic within two weeks of referral. We can provide further diagnostics on the same day, if appropriate.
Our maternity team aim to support your choices throughout your pregnancy and labour. Within our delivery suite we have three active birth/midwifery-led care rooms and two birthing pools.
We also have a team of doctors available if needed. We provide a 24-hour epidural service and have a neonatal unit for babies with additional needs.
Ask your GP to refer you to Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust if they believe you need the care of a hospital specialist.
