Involving families

Including family in rehabilitation is very important and, when the time is right, they are encouraged to participate in therapies, educational sessions, regular patient-family conferences and therapeutic outings.

Unfortunately, we do not have rooms for families to stay overnight.  However, the patient’s case manager, once admitted, can provide assistance and recommendations of places to stay.

The centre also has accommodation for patients and families to use together to work on independent living skills and psychological adjustment.  This has to be booked with the therapy team who will provide assessment of the activity.

Families are strongly encouraged to learn as much as they can during the rehabilitation stay.

For more information about the inpatient rehabilitation programme, please call the Case Management Department on 01704 704333 and your call will be directed to the most appropriate member of the rehabilitation team.
