- Here at Southport and Ormskirk NHS Trust we have the opportunity to provide Nurse Training in partnership with both Edge Hill College and University of Central Lancashire. Throughout the training clinical placements are available in all specialities. Clinical Placements Facilitator, Maxine Callaghan, offers support to the student Nurses within the clinical setting throughout their training.

- NVQ / Cadet Training Together with Southport College we offer NVQ programmes in care for our Healthcare Assistants.
All Healthcare Assistants will complete an NVQ level 2 as part of their development.
We offer placements as part of the Cadet Academy. Along with the qualifications gained throughout the 2 year modern apprenticeship the cadet will have the opportunity to interview for John Moores University or Edge Hill University College to undertake their nurse training.
