Right Arrow Expecting a baby, or just had one?
16 April 2007 at 10:31
On Saturday 21st April 2007 Southport & Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust are hosting the second Baby Day at Ormskirk Hospital for The National Childbirth Trust of Southport, Formby & Ormskirk. The event will start at 11.00am and finish at 4pm and is being held in the Antenatal Clinic area on Level 2. All are welcome, just come along!

This is an educational day covering everything from birth to early parenthood. All expectant parents are encouraged to attend and to collect information on products, services and learn more on help available for pregnancy, birth and postnatal support. This is also a great opportunity for new mums and parents to see out there, especially for first time mums who either don’t know or know less on what you need for the baby and it’s a great opportunity to meet other new mums who are in the same boat.

From first-time parents to those with growing families there is something for everyone at Baby Day, including a play area for children up to school age, a raffle with fantastic prizes, and even an aromatherapy room where you can chill out with a treatment! Get information on everything from baby proofing your home to childcare, playgroups and harnessing your baby’s natural ability to swim underwater! You will leave with enough information to help you feel ready for your new arrival and excited about all the things you have to look forward to as a family. There will be everything from pre birth to toddler age to interest you.

This year’s Baby Day will be bigger and better than ever. It’s the perfect opportunity to tour the maternity unit and meet staff before the big day. It is also a chance to get to know members of the Southport, Formby and Ormskirk NCT branch and find out about activities in the local area and how you can get involved.

Organisations offering information and advice such as breastfeeding, cotton nappy laundry services, teenage pregnancy, twins and multiple births, antenatal and postnatal will be attending the event.

Others attending are Fire Brigade, Financial advisors, Usborne books, Sefton Early Years, Phoenix cards.
