Thirty-four employees of Southport and Ormskirk Hospitals NHS Trust who have worked for more than 20 years for the Trust were honoured at the annual Long Service Award Ceremony on Wednesday 27th September.

Mr Andrew Johnson, Chairman of the Trust, presented staff from all areas of the Trust with capital bonds to the value of £125.

Mr Johnson said, “These long service awards are a token of our appreciation to our colleagues who between them have given 682 years of valued service to the Trust. It’s good to be able to recognize this group of staff who have been with us for so long.”

Twenty-one of the 44 staff receiving the award this year attended the ceremony held in the Lounge of the Clinical Education Centre at Southport & Formby District General Hospital. Between them these staff have been with the Trust for 422 years.
