Your local pharmacist can provide advice on common illnesses and the best medicines to treat them when you are suffering from a common health problem that doesn’t require being seen by a nurse or doctor.

West Lancashire Health Centre, to the left of the main entrance at Ormskirk hospital, also offers a drop-in GP services from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week for registered and unregistered patients. Telephone 01695 588 800.
The NHS walk-in centre at the Concourse Shopping Centre, Skelmersdale, treats minor illnesses and injuries. It is open from 7am-10pm Mon-Fri, and 9am-5pm Sat-Sun. Telephone 01695 588640.
