- Turn left out of the main entrance to the hospital.
- Continue straight along Town Lane , straight on at small roundabout, to large roundabout.
- Turn right at roundabout onto the A570.
- Follow signs to Ormskirk for about 6 miles.
- On reaching traffic lights where A570 meets A59, go straight on, following Hospital sign.
- The route will take you onto the one way system through Ormskirk with Hospital signposted regularly.
- After second set of pelican lights by Library on left, move into right hand lane.
- Follow road ( Stanley Street ) to the right just after railway bridge and church.
- Turn left at next set of traffic lights onto Wigan Road (A577 Skelmersdale and Wigan ).
- Continue along Wigan Road for approx half a mile to traffic lights.
- Turn right into Dicconson Way and ahead you will see the main entrance to Ormskirk and District General Hospital , with the main car park opposite on the left.
- The adult Minor Injuries Unit is beyond the Main Entrance to the right.
- The Maternity Delivery Suite is at the back of the hospital. Follow the signs past the Minor Injuries Unit.
- For the Children’s Accident & Emergency Department turn first right off Dicconson Way , it is 200 metres on the left. There is a lay-by for dropping off, and a car park a further 400 metres through the barrier.

- At the end of Dicconson Way turn left at the traffic lights onto Wigan Road.
- Follow Wigan Road for approx half a mile to a set of traffic lights.
- Go straight ahead after approx 200 yards turn left at the next set of traffic lights.
- Turn right at the next set of traffic lights after approx 150 yards.
- At the next set of lights go straight ahead and then follow the one-way system past the church, baring left where the road forks, onto the A570.
- At the next traffic lights go straight ahead on the A570 signposted Southport.
- Continue on this road for about 6 miles until you see the Tesco Store on the left.
- Go straight ahead at the first small roundabout, still signed A570 Southport.
- At the next large roundabout, take the second exit signposted A565 Liverpool and District General Hospital.
- At the next small roundabout take the third exit.
- After approx 500 yards turn right at the traffic lights in to the main entrance of the hospital.
