Right Arrow Tours of the maternity unit at Ormskirk
23 February 2007 at 08:34

Thinking of having a baby, or expecting a baby but not sure exactly where to have your baby? To help you choose, why not come for a tour of the state-of-the-art facilities in the maternity unit at Ormskirk & District General Hospital?

The tours, that are open to both mums-to-be and their partners and those who are thinking about it, are held every Saturday at 2.00 pm and last about an hour. There is no need to make an appointment, but people are advised to let the unit know that they would like to come along, just in case it is very busy. The unit can be contacted on 01695 656919.

The tours include the delivery suite with birthing pool and dedicated theatre, the antenatal ward and the postnatal ward. Midwives will be happy to answer questions about the facilities and what the mums-to-be can expect if they choose to have their baby at Ormskirk.

Notes to Editors
Photos show the birthing pool, the delivery theatre and a typical postnatal room.
