Right Arrow Free travel for bus pass holders from West Lancs
25 October 2006 at 11:01
Southport & Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust welcomes the recent announcement from West Lancashire District Council about bus pass holders being able to travel free to and from Southport Hospital.

“Obviously this is good news for our patients and their visitors from West Lancashire,” said Matthew King, spokesperson for the Trust. “This means there is one less thing for our patients and their relatives to worry about when they come into hospital. It has long been a concern of the residents of Ormskirk and beyond, and it is good that the Council has managed to agree this with the bus companies.”

The Council’s agreement with bus operators gives free travel to and from Southport Hospital for anyone who holds a West Lancs “NoWcard” bus pass. This is anyone over the age of 60 and people with certain disabilities.

More information on the NoWcard is available from www.nowcard.org or by calling 0845 058 1096.
