Right Arrow Pharmacy staff donate £1,900 to Southport Kidney Fund

In March this year, pharmacy staff from Southport & Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust held their annual “Oscars” night where they have a chance to let their hair down and raise some money for a local charity. This year they decided to raise money for the Southport Kidney Fund in memory of one of their colleagues Janet Whitfield who was tragically killed in a house fire last October.

Last week, four of the pharmacy staff presented a cheque for £1,942 to Joan Coleman, founder of the Kidney Fund, Colin Whitehead, Chairman of the Fund and other Fund committee members. Joan Coleman commented, “We are extremely grateful to the staff in the pharmacy. Janet’s father was a kidney patient who was supported through the Fund and we were all very saddened by her tragic accident. It is really nice that she has been remembered in this way.”
