The annual health check has replaced the old 'star ratings' assessment system and looks at a much broader range of issues than those used previously, and seeks to make much better use of the data, judgments and expertise of others to focus on measuring what matters to people who use and provide healthcare services.

Safeguarding Children and the Care Quality Commission

Southport and Ormskirk NHS Trust have declared compliance with the CQC requirements for Safeguarding Children. The Trust Annual report for Safeguarding Children was presented to Trust Board and approved in September 2009. This can be viewed here.
